We work with some of the world's most engaging brands and we’re searching for a Senior Videographer to level up our video team.

The part you'll play

Social Chain Studio is looking for an experienced Senior Videographer to join our studio in Manchester. This role requires someone with exceptional videography and editing skills in order to elevate our clients' brands to new levels, whilst helping us shape the direction and quality of our creative content.

The Senior Videographer is a key creative leadership role within the studio and will report directly to the Art Director, working closely with the creative team and overseeing the video team. In addition to the above, the Senior Videographer will be the driving force of video direction for Social Chain’s most prolific clients. Responsible for establishing and pushing our video capabilities to a new standard while leading and inspiring the teams working alongside you on each project. You’re passionate about creating social content across the digital landscape and you can work collaboratively to execute a high volume of social-first content ideas by shooting and editing best-in-class social assets for a variety of our clients.

Minimum requirements

4+ years experience in a videography role.

Strong leadership skills and experience in managing and feeding back to a team of videographers and editors.

Experience working on branded content.

A strong portfolio/showreel that demonstrates creative and conceptual thinking.

As a Senior Videographer you will

Work with the Art Director to define the overall vision for the video team by setting the standard for clients in the agency portfolio.

Work with the Creative Director and the creative team with bringing campaign ideas to life visually.

Fight for the creative by being able to confidently talk through visual ideas with clients.

Manage, mentor and inspire the video team by ensuring that they have the necessary skills and support to produce best-in-class work for Social Chain.

Deliver constructive feedback to the video team in order to help them grow and mature in their roles.

Own the quality, creativity and delivery of projects that you oversee.

Promote a culture of innovation and teamwork.

Ensure the client’s creative visual output is consistent with the overall brand, strategy and vision.

Collaborate with projects, creative and accounts teams to create work which reflects Social Chain’s vision for creative excellence.

Key Skills

Strong creative management skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.

Video editing using the Adobe Premiere Pro.

Enhancement using Adobe After Effects to create basic graphic overlays provided by the motion designers.

Excellent ability in colour grading using Davinci Resolve.

Filming using Sony and Black Magic camera equipment with a strong understanding of camera lens and ranges.

Ability to film in studio and on location with an impeccable eye for composition and framing.

Ability to confidently direct subjects on set.

Technically adept with the ability to troubleshoot your own problems.

Excellent understanding of professional studio lighting.

Developing ideas, concepts, treatments and storyboards for a video brief.

Ability to understand, analyse and respond to client briefs.

Reporting to internal and external production crews in order to make sure each shoot goes smoothly.

Strong management skills - ability to maintain a cool head when working to tight deadlines or when things don’t go to plan on set.

A proactive passion for current film and video trends, and developments within culture and the industry.

Creating content and filming specifically for social content. (Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok and Twitter).

Ability to work with established brand guidelines.

Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills.

Skill sharing and training for less experienced members of the video team.
