Job Description

Field is looking for a creative midweight/senior Graphic Designer to join our Sheffield studio. This is a new role, working alongside the Head of Design, covering a range of Arts, Education and culture projects across the UK.

Our studio works across multiple disciplines, including: Brand Design, Brand strategy, exhibitions, experiential projects, motion design, digital / UX and Web. Outside of our core specialisms we collaborate with experts in their fields, such as copywriters, artists and architects. The role will be a great fit for someone who revels in multi-threaded projects and has an interest in all design and creative disciplines. You will have the opportunity to feed into existing projects as part of a collaborative team and make your mark on new projects with the opportunity to bring your individualism and creative flair to our already talented team.

We would like you to have the ability to think on a strategic level, and map this thinking to client objectives and goals, whilst maintaining a clear creative vision for any project.

As a studio we work across multiple disciplines and that requires broad technical knowledge. We don’t expect you to be an expert in every bit of software on the market but we do expect you to have a good understanding of all aspects of technical tools across the studio.

We would expect you to be strong in the the following:

  • Adobe Creative Suite,
  • After Effects,

Core Skills:

  • Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects and Figma
  • Good people skills with good presentation skills and an ability to communicate with and establish good client relationships.
  • Good understanding and ability to prototype motion ideas in After Effects for animation with an ability to think about how your concepts and designs can work in motion from the outset
  • A good sense of critical reflection the ability to develop ideas to a professional standard, with the ability to prioritise and organise your time around multiple projects in collaboration with the project lead or producer.
  • Additional skills in the following areas would be beneficial but not essential Cinema 4D, HTML, CSS and JS knowledge.
