Job Description
The role requires a highly creative designer to work across a wide range of illustrated adult books.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Create and implement brilliant designs for books while ensuring that
deadlines and customer requirements are met.
• Check and prepare files for Production.
• Provide design briefs and templates for freelance designers working
on Arcturus projects.
• Oversee freelance designers both in and out of house.
• Work with the Sales and Editorial departments on the creation of
promotional material.
• Liaise with Production and Editorial to ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements:
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a publishing position.
• BA degree (or equivalent) in graphic design.
• The ability to multi-task and effectively manage several projects
simultaneously.
• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
• A strong work ethic, integrity and reliability with a “hands-on”
attitude.
• Great time-management skills.
• Creative thinking and an eye for detail.
