9-12 Month Contract (Starting ca. May 2024)

The Different Folk is a London-based production company and artist management agency working with a roster of world-class creative talent for leading global brands.

As Maternity Cover for The Different Folk’s Executive Producer, you will be responsible for top-level management of the agency. You will be tasked with managing our team of Agents and Producers, handling company finances and overseeing development of the business in line with company objectives and strategic planning.

Main Responsibilities:

Executive Production:

  • Lead the execution of mid-large scale projects, ensuring excellence in delivery.
  • Assigning projects, assessing in-house capacities and making budget-conscious decisions to bring in freelance support as needed.
  • Supporting team with complex quotations, providing input and advice to on how to budget stills and animation projects.

Contracts and Finance:

  • Handle contract queries from clients, artists and the team.
  • Review weekly financial reports, spotting bookkeeping errors and approve/make supplier payments.
  • Provide regular financial updates and address planning queries with the Company Director.
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual Profit & Loss statements (P&Ls)
  • Adjust financial projections accordingly in alignment with company’s goals and industry trends.
  • Ensure the business operates profitably and make strategic financial decisions to support overall company objectives.

Team Management

  • Manage a small team of Agents & Producers, conducting regular 1-2-1s and annual reviews.
  • Lead monthly sales meetings with Agents, tracking against sales targets and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Oversee staff expenses and facilitate personnel development.

Business Development

  • Implement new business strategies and drive agency growth.
  • Represent the company as the face of The Different Folk to advertising agencies and brands.

Artist Relations:

  • Holding regular meetings with artists for performance evaluation, growth strategies and feedback.
  • Oversee curation of the agency’s creative output and artist portfolios.

  • Impeccable financial management skills, including the ability to create and manage complex financial spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with financial and legal obligations of a creative production agency.
