Job Description

Senior Designer

This role is dedicated to leading Stereo’s output for Nike, one of our most demanding and high-volume accounts. You will be a creative leader who sets high standards, pushes the work forward, and ensures every deliverable meets both Nike’s expectations and Stereo’s level of craft. The role requires stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to lead others, overseeing multiple workstreams and maintaining quality across a large body of work.

You will be the central point of quality control, reviewing, guiding, and supporting other designers to ensure everything that leaves the studio is polished, consistent, and creative. Alongside hands-on design delivery, you will steer the team, keep them aligned, and help them grow, balancing production demands with opportunities to elevate the work creatively.

The work is often large-scale and production-heavy, but leadership and creative ambition are fundamental. You will make sure the team runs smoothly under pressure, protecting both the standard of output and the wellbeing of those delivering it.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design delivery for Nike across campaigns, toolkits, and global rollouts, ensuring quality, consistency, and creativity at every stage.

- Oversee and review the work of other designers, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and mentorship.

- Act as a point of escalation for the team, helping solve problems and unblock challenges quickly.

- Manage the scale and detail of high-volume asset production across digital, print, OOH, and retail.

- Work closely with project managers to balance workloads, set priorities, and challenge briefs or timelines when needed.

- Collaborate with strategy, copy, and motion teams to keep work aligned and effective.

- Present work confidently to Nike stakeholders and represent Stereo with professionalism.

- Support team development by sharing knowledge, improving processes, and creating a positive environment for growth.

- Continuously explore and apply emerging design, motion, and visual trends to elevate Nike campaigns.

Key skills & requirements

- At least 5+ years hands-on experience at a leading agency.

- Strong conceptual thinking for campaigns or brand identities.

- A portfolio demonstrating inspiring and progressive design with a broad, flexible approach.

- An ability to work independently under tight deadlines, as well as the stamina and determination to deliver longer term projects.

- Manage and oversee specific teams for specific projects.

- Think big and small: show bold creative ambition but also obsess over the crucial details.

- Strong collaborative tendencies: remain open to feedback, welcome other perspectives and also share constructive criticism of your own.

- Build effective relationships with those above and below you.

- Be able to balance multiple work streams at the same time but always focus on what’s most important.

- Be an articulate and confident presenter, able to create compelling decks from scratch.

- Be proactive, energetic and self-motivated with a reputation for going beyond the brief.

- Be connected to creative culture and emerging industry trends, but also have a point of view that considers the world outside of design.

- Be able to use a variety of typical design programs (Adobe CC suite, Figma).

- Beneficial skills: art direction experience, photo/film shoot experience, an ability to draft storyboards and narratives, creative coding, or 3D software (C4D, Blender, Unreal Engine, AI tools etc.).
