ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Junior Designer will work alongside our global Creative team, responsible for designing assets for our brand, you must have a discerning eye for layout and typography. This role is part-time only, 2 days per week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As our Junior Designer, we'd love to see your creative influence ​shine through daily. ​Here's an overview of how we feel you could make that ​happen:

Designing print and digital assets whilst adhering to brand guidelines.

Collaborating closely with the Creative and Marketing teams, to ensure flawless execution of all designed assets with set timeframes.

Upholding an attention to detail across all designed assets.

Uphold and enhance brand consistency across all print and digital elements.

Contributing to the overall design strategy of the creative team and keeping abreast of current and future design trends.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

Within our Creative team, you’ll report into our Lead Designer, Josh Turner(JT), and will work in a small team of designers, a creative project manager and a copywriter. We’re a small and fast-paced team who love working collaboratively and creatively to produce bold and weirdly wonderful work. We’re not interested in conforming to the “usual” way of doing things and instead we value bravery and uniqueness, in our quest to bring joy to everyone who comes across our brand.

You’ll also work closely with a motley crew of teammates across Europe and North America, who are celebrated for their individuality in a work culture that encourages you to be optimistic, experimental and daring. Minor Figures is filled to the brim with creative thinkers who are truly passionate about our brand, so the Creative team is a powerful epicentre of that energy!

ABOUT YOU

We'd love to chat to ​people with ​relevant 1-2 years experience, working in a similar field. You will have a compelling portfolio showcasing your design, layout, and typography skills.

You will have experience working to a detailed brief for design development and revisions, with demonstrable understanding of versioning and working with an existing design system. Experience in setting up files for print and digital is essential.

You will be highly organised and have a keen eye for detail to succeed in this role. You will be a self-starter and will always be anticipating and exceeding our team’s expectations. You will also thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once to hit deadlines.

We want to bring someone in who loves the buzz of being in the office working with the rest of the team and won’t shy away from things that sit outside your comfort zone. You will have excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively cross functionally.

Finally, ​you’ll have excellent command of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop).
