Job Description
About the role:
We’re looking for a full-time Senior Producer to join our dynamic production team and take a hands-on role in managing large-scale branding & campaign projects and pitches.
At Seventeen, a Senior Producer takes ownership of projects and accounts like it’s second nature. Translating any idea that lands on our desks, be it an original creative concept or open client brief, into a smart and actionable project plan.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled, organised, and self-motivated, with the versatility to adapt, experiment, and respond in the moment. You will bring energy, initiative, and a sharp eye for what others might miss, helping the team work smarter, promoting individuality and excellence in unison. This role offers scope to shape your own approach while becoming a key part of a team that thrives on challenge and curiosity. An exceptional Senior Producer who can deliver under pressure and embrace the unexpected and the odd.
We’re a collective of Odd Minds that think unalike. If you see the world a little differently and find opportunity in the overlooked, this is the place for you.
We're looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:
- Strong track record of independently leading various projects from initial briefing through to final delivery, while juggling ongoing account responsibilities.
- Strong track record of leading pitch processes alongside Creative Directors and converting into live projects.
- Confident in developing comprehensive scopes of work, timelines, and financially sound budgets.
- Natural ability to switch between production and creative headspace - keeping sight of the bigger picture and creative ambition of the project, while ensuring scopes and project plans are in support of the creative, not the other way around.
- Highly organised with real attention to detail in creation and presentation of all things project related, you don’t let anything slip through the cracks.
- Experience in resourcing your own projects and seeking out the best talent. You may have a little black book of trusted artists and partners that you’d like to bring into the fold.
- A proactive nature, seeking out potential issues before they arise and finding pragmatic solutions to keep plans on track.
- Resourcing projects and setting project parameters, plotting contingencies and then, as we all know, doing it all again during the course of a project as things evolve.
- An ability and ambition to translate abstract project scopes into tangible and pragmatic project plans, balancing our clients’ needs with our collective ambition to produce outstanding and effective creative work.
- A desire to make things work and find smart solutions even when the going gets tough.
- A knack for asking the right questions of clients and the wider project team, either in briefings or simply during the course of each project. Ensuring our project proposals are watertight, feasible and tailored to the specific nature of each project.
- A natural tendency to keep up to date with the team, checking in with them even if they’re not on your project to learn more about their personalities, skills and what they’d like to work on so you can make more informed decisions when resourcing.
- A confidence and willingness to negotiate persuasively but fairly on matters of money, time and expectations with a keen eye on the best possible outcomes for the project, the client and the business.
- Confident Mac skills are a must, as is familiarity with the tools our Producers use day to day such as Excel, GSuite, Dropbox, Zoom, Slack, Monday.com, resourcing tools like Float etc. + confidence in learning new software and tools.
- Willingness to learn and understand the technical aspects of all kinds of projects from design, animation, live action and experience. A curiosity for new techniques as well as an understanding of basic workflows. Previous experience working in live action and projects heavy on Cinema 4D, Houdini and After Effects is a huge plus.
- Previous experience working in a creative agency with global clients is also ideal.
An essential part of this role is working closely with Creative Directors and Creative Leads, collaborating as a trusted partner on projects you share. Together, you’ll present and run client review sessions, ensuring feedback is clearly communicated and acted on by the project team. You'll have a shared desire to make the project the best it can be and something the whole team is proud of.
You’ll be connecting, collaborating, and building relationships with a diverse range of brilliant clients, gradually becoming their go-to producer. You’ll QC projects before they land, interpret feedback, coordinate client shares, wrangle freelancers, manage budgets, and work alongside an incredibly talented team. What you won’t find here are egos, late nights, or being left to figure it all out alone - we’ve got each other’s backs, always.
This is a full-time role, working 4.5 days per week - we wrap up at 1pm every Friday. While the role is primarily studio-based, we support a hybrid working approach, encouraging a healthy balance of home and studio days. Our core days are Mondays and Thursdays, when we all come together in the studio. We are not currently hiring for fully remote or freelance positions.
