Mission

Grow client relationships, account revenue, and agency reputation through deep trust, sharp acumen, and strong accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the health of your accounts: relationships, revenue, and reputation.
  • Own the P&L for your accounts: spot opportunities, forecast revenue, negotiate deals, manage budgets, protect margins, and optimize performance.
  • Lead strategic planning and set clear direction for account growth.
  • Be a trusted advisor to clients: guide discussions and decisions with context, insight, and foresight.
  • Be a strategic partner to clients: proactively provide recommendations, account reports, and business reviews.
  • Partner with Strategy and Creative leadership to translate client objectives into clear briefs, scopes, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results and delightful experiences to clients.
  • Protect clients and teams from misaligned expectations and engagements.
  • Initiate and shape discussions, including difficult ones, with clients and teams to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Set and exemplify high standards for account acumen and communication excellence.
  • Report directly to VP of Client Success.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, including travel to see international clients.

Must-haves

  • Competency and proficiency as outlined above.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in account management and/or client service within the creative, marketing, or advertising agencies.
  • Minimum 3 years in an account leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing P&L and growing complex or enterprise-level accounts.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, presentational, and interpersonal), including with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hubspot, PipeDrive, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Google Apps (Drive, Cals, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B enterprise marketing and communications.
  • Experience working with global, distributed clients and teams.
  • Experience mentoring and developing account teams for high performance.
  • Sensibility to recognize creative excellence.
  • A degree useful to this role (MBA, BBA, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, etc).
