Job Description

We have an opening for an enthusiastic, creative Mid-Weight Designer to join our team at our Bristol HQ. This is a hands-on creative role. You’ll be working with the brand team on projects of all shapes and sizes, for local, national and international brands.

Our ethos is simple: to create meaningful and engaging work for our partners, delivered with heart and soul. We promote a strong studio culture that is open, inclusive and feeds creativity.

This is a great opportunity for a designer to work as part of our small but mighty brand team. Being part of a close-knit team means you’ll be involved from start to finish, allowing you to quickly learn and develop your skills in all areas of brand design. You’ll be expected to get stuck in from initial ideas, execution, delivery and beyond.

Before applying for the role please take a look over our portfolio and make sure you’re the right fit for the role and what we do. We don’t want to waste your time or ours.

What your background might look like…

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working within a small-mid sized branding agency.
  • You will have a background in design, with some formal training. (You don’t need a university degree to be a great designer).
  • You’ll have experience working in a fast-paced studio environment. In fact, you get a kick out of it.
  • You’ll have relevant experience working on branding projects of varying shapes and sizes.
  • You’ll have experience designing layouts for reports and branded collateral. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty.
  • You’ll have a strong portfolio of work showing creative thinking and design work across different sectors.
  • You’re super comfortable working with Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

It’s an added bonus (but not essential) if you…

  • Have designed for brands using Figma.
  • Can bring ideas to life through motion using After Effects.
  • Have some experience working with Cinema 4D or a similar 3D software.

What you’ll be like to work with…

  • You’re an excellent listener/communicator able to understand, question and articulate design rationale.
  • You’re a problem solver, not a problem finder. You rise to new challenges rather than shy away from them.
  • You have a genuine passion for graphic design and enjoy sharing that passion with others.
  • You’re a self-starter and able to manage your own time.
  • You’re determined, considered and conscientious.
  • You’re honest, committed and kind.
  • You’re confident and willing to take risks in the name of creativity.
  • You’re always looking for opportunities to learn and develop your skill-set.
  • You’re a natural team player with a collaborative approach.
  • You have passions and interests outside of graphic design that also feed your creativity.

Perks and Benefits

  • The opportunity to work within a close-knit, passionate team of creative thinkers and doers who believe in the power of creativity to inspire change.
  • Working on an exciting variety of projects across sectors and geographies.
  • Work from a bright and bustling studio environment 4 days a week, with 1 day a week working from home (optional).
  • 25+ days of holiday each year.
  • Flexible working hours. (You’re responsible for managing your time).
  • Adjusted 4-day working week over the summer holidays – Summer Hours.
  • Work From Anywhere (WFA) in the world for 2 weeks of the year.
  • Lunch & Learns – a programme of internal events intended to inspire and provoke conversation.
  • Access to our Employee Wellbeing Programme.
  • Pension scheme option.
  • Access to Cycle to Work scheme.
  • On-the-job training through online courses and R&D.
  • Paid for social events and annual team holiday – always good fun.
