Job Description
Sandbag is a leading independent global merchandise company, primarily focused on the music and entertainment sector.
We are looking for a Creative merchandise designer to join our in-house team. The successful candidate will thrive working across a broad client base, creating original art and creative product design for worldwide touring, e-commerce, licensing and events.
Working with a small in-house team the ideal candidate with have a passion for both fashion and music, enjoy coming up with new and creative ideas, and the design skills to execute their ideas to a high standard.
You will work collaboratively with our internal team of account managers, production and tour departments - Making informed design choices that appeases all parties, balancing the creative direction along with the feasibility of manufacture and target price points. You will work closely with our production department to turn your designs into finish product, responsibilities include the creation of print ready artwork in suitable formats, with accompanying technical packs.
You are able to take and adapt found or supplied assets and use them in creative ways. Skilled in typography, illustration and digital drawing, we are looking for someone who is able to create original artwork in diverse styles, creating engaging on brand graphics and prints in line with the client's brand identity. Taking into consideration the clients target market, as well as current design, fashion & cultural trends.
Responsible for creating presentation and pitch decks in line with our templates and style guides. Following projects from initial concepts through to launch; including product shoots, promotional materials, and webstore design, with the creation of both animated and static social content.
We are looking for someone with excellent time management skills with the ability to balance and prioritise tasks, working to multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast pace industry.
Comfortable presenting your designs and ideas, and attend regular design meetings with different internal departments, clients and management.
This is a hybrid role with the ability to work from home and attend the office on a regular basis. Salary dependent on experience.
Applicant requirements:
A passion for art, music, design and fashion and a minimum of two years’ experience in the creative sector.
1. Proficiency in adobe software (creative suite)
Essential - Photoshop, Illustrator & In design.
Advantageous - After Effects & Premiere Pro
3. Industry experience in music industry, fashion design or relevent field
4. An engaging design portfolio demonstrating a range of original design work, illustration and apparel print designs
