Social Strategist
Job Description
Not Actual Size is a collective of creatives and strategists who build respect for brands. We are an independent, employee-owned B Corp, working in partnership with Global brands such as Dove, Sure/Rexona, and Roche.
Our services cover the digital creative spectrum – from truly social-first content creation to turning unseen insights into big campaign ideas. We also never forget the beautiful basics and take pride in crafting product pages or lifestyle shots that truly resonate – for us, every detail matters. Our strategy team works closely with our creative team and client partners, providing data, insights and reporting to influence decisions and boost innovation.
Our team has been continually growing and we’re looking for big thinkers, dot joiners and meaning makers to join us – we have big plans for the future and are looking for ambitious, proactive and expert social strategists to help us go to the next level.
About the role
As a Social Strategist at Not Actual Size, you’ll be one of our resident social experts; the latest TikTok trend? You’ve done it. New platform? You’re on it. New social feature? You’ve tried it. New social campaign? You’ve got something to say about it.
You’re always exploring the world of social, and at Not Actual Size, you’ll guide other team members in creating exciting content fit for purpose in a social-first world. From trend identification to big ideas for our clients, you’ll have the gut instinct for what works (and what doesn’t) on social for brands. You’ll also have a keen eye for reporting on successes (and failures) and feeding these back into the team, as well as the ability to collaborate seamlessly with creatives to bring ideas to life.
You will be responsible for:
- Consulting and presenting on strategy and ideas to build Not Actual Size’s reputation as an exceptional social partner – while this isn’t a traditional account management role, you will be client facing (and often client managing), and able to deliver ideas with gravitas and confidence
- Guide the Project and Creative Teams with clarity and authority to optimise Client output with strategic foundations
- Proactive collaboration with the Creative Team, providing social community and content insights to develop distinct, impactful ideas tailored to social
- Develop best in class briefs to empower creative ideas + execution that meet the Client needs
- Immersion in the social landscape, monitoring trends, conversations, communities and competitors to identify content opportunities and inspire creative innovation to connect with consumers
- Craft intelligent, considered strategies rooted in human insight and data, with clear, compelling storytelling optimised for social
- Championing channel health as a priority on an always on basis, identifying tactics for growth, optimisation and excellence in the social landscape
- Establish success frameworks, KPIs and reporting to optimise output and drive performance. Develop distinctive reports with exceptional attention to detail and an engaging narrative
About you
We are looking for an intuitive, energetic and motivated strategist with a minimum of three years agency-side social media experience, working with global brands.
You are:
- Known for consistently delivering work to a high standard
- A do-er: able to make ideas happen through creative problem solving and strong collaboration
- Always curious and digging deeper to understand consumer realities
- A natural team player, willing to lead whilst valuing openness and collaboration with all team members
- Able to work quickly and calmly to meet all deadlines, juggling multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to dispense advice along the way to clients and team members
- Comfortable in providing constructive feedback to creative specialists
- Proactive in ensuring all streams of work are pursued and driven forward
- A direct and clear communicator – whether updating a client, presenting ideas or briefing internal teams
- Extremely organised, with impeccable attention to detail and an ability to maintain high standards during bursts of activity
- A sideways-thinker; thinking outside the box to discover new ideas and perspectives
Agency culture and benefits:
Our collective is built on our values, of which we embody every day:
Immerse: To do a good job we need to truly immerse ourselves in our clients’ world
Energy: We enjoy what we do and it shows. We are optimistic and solutions-focused – the people you look forward to meeting with
Rigour: We obsess about the details, from the initial brief to the execution. We leave no stone unturned
Open: We have a candid approach in how we see problems and discuss solutions. We are transparent and accountable
Care: We care about what we do and the impact we have. From delivering the best work to making sure our work is ethical and responsible
We’re proud to offer a range of benefits that help our team thrive personally and professionally.
Alongside 33 days holiday, private health insurance, pension plans, enhanced sick pay, and team lunches and social events, we provide bespoke training packages and weekly cultural listening sessions to fully immerse all employees in the wider industry.
We also offer flexible hybrid working options. Most team members work from our (quite wonderful) office twice a week, but we are happy to discuss what works best for you.
We are a diverse team of creatives, strategists and content managers, and we highly encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. We embrace diversity and believe an inclusive, equitable environment is the key to crafting truly meaningful work.
