Junior Designer
Job Description
Junior Designer
Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office - 2 days remote.
An Oxford Circus tube takeover for one of the world's biggest disruptor beauty brands. A total overhaul of design and positioning of a major player in outboard engines. The rollout of a global toolkit for a leading bourbon. The launch into market of a brand-new look and feel of a challenger gin brand.
These are just some of the things our design team have created in the last 12 months. And as a result, we’re looking for a Junior Designer to continue to grow our business and support our Design team across our varied client portfolio.
You should have a strong eye for beautifully thought-provoking design, and be able to visualise this in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Every day will be different. One minute you’ll be helping our Senior Designer in rolling-out designs across various formats and platforms. The next you’ll be refining one of our Creative’s concepts for social or OOH. Another will see you defining a design aesthetic, including logo, colour palette, typefaces, and guidelines for a global brand by working alongside clients to create something that feels bold, disruptive, creative or fun.
Whilst not essential, you’ll get bonus points if you have motion graphics skills, or a thirst for photography or cinematography as we have our own in-house studio.
We have a mix of global and UK brands who love to disrupt – Honda, Benriach whisky, Fords Gin, e.l.f. cosmetics, Chambord liqueur, Estrella Galicia beer, Sanctuary Spa – and we’ll be looking for you to play an important role in a series of their projects going forward.
Our team of Southpaw Bears are a close-knit team, and we pride ourselves on running with the pack. So, you’ll have to be confident working in tandem with our array of agency talent including strategists, hybrid social and digital creatives, video editors, and retouchers to produce work that excites you, pushes the boundaries, is culturally relevant, and aims to win awards.
Sound good?
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Strong levels of considered design across ATL/TTL advertising, branded content and social/digital media platforms.
• Skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator are a must, but any in After Effects, Figma, C4D will get you bonus points.

• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills and give/take constructive feedback.
