Overview

We are looking for a brilliant Junior Project Manager to join our award-winning integrated communication agency to support the high-quality delivery of projects across our brand activation and brand strategy offers. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a Project management or customer-facing role and will be eager to expand their responsibilities in this new role within a fast-paced, proactive and energetic Programme and Project Management Office (PMO). We are operating a remote-first working strategy, encouraging collaborative working in our TeamSpace 1-2 days a week.

Overall purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with the Head of Project Management, you will provide a supporting role to the operational delivery across our project portfolio (including brand strategy, brand activation, employee engagement, film and Experience Design) in our busy agency environment. As part of the Project management team, you will work closely with Creative and consultancy teams to provide smart, efficient, quality project delivery. You will work alongside an experienced team, gaining practical experience by working on projects throughout their lifecycle and will gradually be assigned your own live projects, building your expertise in areas such as project planning, briefing, delivery, communication, budgeting, forecasting, quality management, reporting, resource management, risk management and project leadership.

Key tasks of role

Administration:

- Support in daily client communications and project delivery

- Input into daily and weekly project reporting and studio resourcing requirements

- Contribute to internal project initiatives and identify ways to promote team knowledge sharing

- Adhering and monitoring ISO 9001 quality standards and assurance

- Support the PMO to identify and recommend changes for the team to operate more efficiently, proactively managing risk

- Capture learning to feed into the PMO and to support delivery success for all our clients

Communications:

- Provide clear and succinct communications both in writing and verbally to clients and project teams

- Demonstrate excellent listening skills

- Capable of supporting with client relationships as needed and energising internal teams through project delivery

- Responding to both client and internal requirements with pro-activity, accuracy, and pace

- Contribute thoughtfully and creatively to wider client conversations

- Internal and external stakeholder management

Finance:

- Input to weekly financial forecasting

- Work within the finance system to open new jobs, estimate and scope accurately

- Track and manage budgets

- Work with the finance team and contribute to the month-end finance process

Key skills

- Relevant experience of project management in a client facing role

- Ability to build trusted and professional relationships

- A clear communicator who is comfortable working with a wide range of people

- Experience working with internal studio managers and planning resource to enable project delivery against client deadlines

- A reasonable grasp of numbers – sufficient to accurately raise estimates, track budgets and manage invoicing

- Exceptional attention to detail – across all aspects of tracking and monitoring as well as proofreading and written communications

- Able to work under pressure and multi-task, albeit in an incredibly supportive and collaborative team environment

- Pro-active in managing processes with the capability to look ahead and anticipate barriers and risks

- Full working knowledge of Google sheets and standard Office packages

- Excellent organisational skills
