Art Director (AI + Visual Systems) | London | Hybrid

We are working with a design-led consumer products company to hire an AI-focused Art Director / Visual Designer. It is an exciting role in a rapidly emerging space, combining real craft and creativity with forward-facing technology and​ how you apply it to the design process.

They want to build a library of artworks, developing distinct visual styles and turning each one into an AI powered image generation workflow that can scale that style with real consistency and craft. This is the opposite of AI slop. The goal is genuine visual quality at scale, the kind of considered, beautiful work that sets a product apart in a market full of generic imagery. Success in the role will come from balancing creativity with systems thinking. Alongside strong visual judgement, you’ll enjoy building structured workflows, refining and tinkering with prompts, and documenting processes that allow exceptional work to be reproduced consistently at scale.

You will need strong art direction instinct, a sharp eye for colour, composition and typography, and the kind of articulate visual thinking that lets you describe an idea fifty different ways until you land the one that gets the result you are chasing. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who’s naturally curious about these tools. Someone who’s already been experimenting, testing ideas and figuring out where they genuinely add value, rather than approaching them simply because they’re part of the brief.

This is a chance to help shape a genuinely new discipline, with real autonomy to define how it works rather than execute someone else's playbook. You will be fluent in Figma and the Adobe suite, comfortable working daily with Claude and Claude Code, and ideally have some experience with Figma Weave. An openness to whatever AI tool does the job best matters more than loyalty to any one of them.

Hybrid, three days a week in a central London studio.
