Typesetter (4 days per week)
(£30k-35k pa pro rata - depending on experience)
We're looking for a switched-on, highly skilled Typesetter to join our award-winning agency.
Your role will be to work with the design and artwork team to typeset reports and publications, often to existing design styles or templates, for a variety of clients. You will be able to take designs that have been created by a Graphic Designer and prepare them for production. This involves checking the design and making changes or corrections to the text, images or layout.
Our ideal candidate:
- 5+ years’ experience and expert knowledge of InDesign, proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Extensive experience in print and digital reporting and/or publishing (annual reports, books, manuals, prospectuses, tech manuals)
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on larger projects (InDesign "books")
- Ability to manage and implement large volumes of information (typeset content, accurately action amends)
- Expert knowledge of print processes and creation of artwork, using checklists
- Will liaise with the artwork team to establish the best and most effective way to set up the artwork files required
- Can set up, manage and archive accurate artwork files and supply to relevant stakeholders
- Ensures artwork is consistent, accurate and follows any brand guidelines
- Is comfortable working with French and Spanish language content
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Supports wider teams with general Production Specification questions
- Confident communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude
