Job Description

Do you have a passion for designing, editing and organising great content? Would you like to work for a leading publisher and distributor of children’s books across authors, illustrators and branding work? Then our new Marketing Digital Designer role could be a great fit for you.

What makes you the right candidate?

You’ve gained some solid experience by working in-house or as a freelancer and you’re ready to jump into a new position where you can get started quickly and make a real impact.

You’re a design all-rounder, commercially savvy but bursting with creativity who loves to create standout digital projects and videos to engage and grow our audiences.

You’ll understand how design connects with an audience, be they parents, children or teachers. We’re looking for someone whose design ideas can help support promoting a love of reading for pleasure and getting books into children’s hands – whether they are just starting out with phonics or choosing their very own book from the school Book Fair. You’re as enthusiastic about sharing the very latest releases as you are about classroom resources that help children develop the skills they need to become lifelong readers.

You’ll have a flair for digital design and understand how to engage audiences across different platforms. You love creative conversations and enjoy collaborating with colleagues in Marketing and Sales to create standout designs, e-newsletters and presentations that showcase our books for different retailers and sales channels.

You’ll be a confident user of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and have some experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects. You’ll take a flexible approach to working across long-term projects mixed with short deadlines and have top notch organisational skills, to keep on top of it all.

This really is one of the most varied roles in publishing with so many opportunities to try different things. We’d love you to come and join us!

We are an inclusive organisation and recognise the need for change and a more equal society. We welcome applications from any background and characteristic.
