Job Description
The role
Where ideas become real.
As a Senior Designer at Fiasco, you take strategic thinking and turn it into work people can feel. You create visual identities, systems and digital experiences that don’t just communicate clearly — they connect emotionally. From the first idea to the finest detail, you understand how thoughtful design shapes perception, influences behaviour and helps businesses move forward.
You sit at the heart of delivery. Working closely with Design Directors and the Creative Director, you help translate vision into reality — balancing big-picture thinking with detail-driven execution.
This is a role that blends creativity with responsibility. You’re not just making — you’re thinking, questioning, and pushing the work forward. You know when to explore, when to refine, and how to land ideas with clarity and confidence.
At Fiasco, we believe the smallest moments often create the biggest impact. Every interaction, transition and design decision is an opportunity to make someone feel something. That’s where you come in — crafting thoughtful details that create emotional connection, inspire action, and deliver meaningful commercial impact.

Responsibilities
This role blends hands-on craft, creative thinking, and team collaboration. These responsibilities outline where you create the most impact — shaping ideas, delivering high-quality work, and contributing to the wider studio.
Creative Thinking & Idea Development
- Generate original, strategically-led creative ideas — not just executions.
- Move confidently between abstract thinking and practical design, helping shape the creative direction before craft begins.
- Challenge briefs, ask better questions, and uncover opportunities others may miss.
- Craft, Design & Systems Thinking
- Design distinctive visual identities from the ground up — creating logos, typography, colour, graphic systems and principles that scale confidently across every touchpoint.
- Demonstrate experience taking identities from concept through to comprehensive rollout across brand and digital.
- Balance detail and big picture — ensuring everything you create works in context, from concept through to final delivery.
Creative Judgement & Ownership
- Solve creative problems independently before seeking direction.
- Make thoughtful design decisions grounded in strategy rather than aesthetics alone.
- Know when to explore broadly and when to commit with conviction.
- Maintain quality without requiring constant creative oversight.
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with Design Directors, Creative Directors, and Client Partnerships to deliver projects smoothly and effectively.
- Stay organised and aware — understanding project requirements, timelines, and key milestones.
- Balance multiple projects with confidence — maintaining quality while keeping momentum.
Growth, Culture & Contribution
- Bring a growth mindset — actively seeking feedback, learning, and pushing yourself to improve.
- Contribute to the culture of the studio — bringing positive energy, new ideas, and a collaborative spirit.
- Develop your understanding of the sectors you design for — thinking beyond the brief to add more value to clients.
- Take ownership of your development — building your skills, confidence, and creative voice over time.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who shares our feelings-first approach to design. Someone who understands that great brands are built through thoughtful moments, carefully crafted systems, and experiences that leave a lasting emotional impression.
You’ll have:
- 5+ years’ experience designing brands, with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality identity work from concept through to rollout.
- Experience working with technology brands, creating visual identity systems that translate seamlessly across websites, products and digital experiences.
- Advanced Figma skills, with confidence designing everything from early concepts through to polished client-ready presentations and identity systems.
- A strong portfolio, demonstrating original conceptual thinking, exceptional craft, and beautifully executed brand identity work.
- Experience working from concepts through to implementation, translating insight into distinctive creative ideas and scalable visual systems.
- Confidence in presenting and explaining creative ideas, articulating your thinking with clarity to clients and colleagues alike.
- Experience mentoring or supporting more junior designers, providing constructive feedback and helping raise the creative standard of the team.
- Curiosity about AI and emerging creative workflows, with an eagerness to explore new tools that enhance creativity, efficiency and the quality of the work.
It’s a benefit if you have:
- Motion design experience, bringing brands to life through animation and interaction.
- Experience using AI tools and workflows to enhance research, concept development and visualisations.
- Experience applying brand systems to digital products, websites and design toolkits.

From flexible working hours to private healthcare, team socials to summer hours, we’ve built a package that balances wellbeing with growth. It’s about making sure everyone feels looked after, valued, and set up to thrive — inside and outside the studio.
- The opportunity to work on an exciting variety of projects and clients, across sectors and geographies.
- We trust you to manage your own time. Start and finish your day when it suits you. As long as you work your hours and stay mindful of meetings, deadlines, and team commitments, we’re happy.
