Job Description

nkoda

nkoda designs products and services to empower musicians. We want to facilitate their creativity, discovery and continual improvement, and in the process contribute to a fairer and more diverse classical music environment.

Our new Senior Graphic Designer will be rolling out, establishing and building on our new brand identity; working alongside SPIN studio and our in-house graphic designer. They’ll get to work with top-class musicologists and a technology team committed to creating a world class product. We are looking for someone who wants to come into an organisation and make a difference, helping shape the future of music-making.

--

THE ROLE

We understand that some in-house design roles are seen as repetitive and samey. This isn’t one of those roles. We have a fantastic new brand identity designed by SPIN, projects and products in the pipeline, as well as partnerships with brands from all over the world – all of this will keep the role feeling fresh and challenging.

We are looking for a hard working, self-motivated, team player who thrives under pressure and wants to be constantly stimulated. An ideal team member at nkoda is always looking to push boundaries, while being organised, and juggling multiple projects at one time.

You will be working across all creative assets needed for nkoda - both digital and print.

--

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Implement existing new brand guidelines from SPIN on projects and in work.

- Work closely with Product, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure creative and brand is aligned.

- Working with our current in house design capacities.

- Work directly with our partners, institutions and publishers, join creative meetings and be the driving force for delivering creative output.

--

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- 5+ years experience in digital and print design; a start-up or scale-up background is useful.

- A complete foundation in the technical aspects of graphic design, including solid understanding of grid systems, a fine eye for typography and ability to translate our existing design guidelines into excellent graphic assets.

- The desire to be challenged and pushed every day - often working to the limit to make sure we are always breaking new ground.

- Excellent knowledge of different Graphic Design software - We use Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma. Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.

- Running design projects as a sole designer, from ideation and research through to presenting mock-ups and producing final assets.

- Experience in brand design, as a core part of the job you will be creating identities for our sub-brands and series.

Place of Work

There will be flexibility on remote/in office work split.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to sponsor visas at this time.
