Creative UX/UI Designer
Job Description
Bureaux, a multi-disciplinary creative design studio, is looking for an experienced Midweight UX/UI designer who can design beautiful, functional websites and apps for our clients, ranging from fin-tech apps to DTC consumer good brands.
What you'll do.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Own the development of our design system
- Lead and oversee the company’s entire UI strategy
- Utilize data analysis systems to inform strategic design decisions
- Collaborate with data analytics team to evaluate the impact of all UI/UX design decisions
- Support user research and usability studies, distilling findings into insights, and then eventually, wireframes and prototypes
- This role is one that contains a lot of both problem-solving skills and empathy towards users, as the products you will be building will have a huge impact on our users' lives.
Your skills and expectations.
- You can demonstrate how to articulate clear user experiences through wireframes
- You've designed websites and show sound understanding the fundamentals of the web (i.e. 12 column grids, mobile vs desktop responsiveness, use of typography, spacing).
- You understand and can apply the principles of atomic design in Figma including symbols, layer styles, and variables
- Strong UX and visual design skills – we want someone with a range of abilities, from producing wireframes to delivering ready-to-build visual designs
- Ability to spot new trends and implement fresh experiences through functional, practical, interactions.
- A strong eye for typography, spacing, iconography, and interaction design
- A coherent understanding of web capabilities including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Expert knowledge of Figma, including auto-layout and components
- Ideally be able to prototype designs using After Effects, Protopie, and other animation tools
- Oversee dev team to ensure build matches design

Compensation.
