About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Designer (Branded Environments) to play a pivotal role in our creative, effective, and innovative design team, with a particular focus on industrial design for wayfinding projects. In this senior position, you will excel in managing projects, clients, and suppliers, demonstrating expertise in product design, project management, and contributing actively to live project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Produce Designer (Branded Environments), you will:
- Lead and support junior colleagues, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Participate in brainstorming/design sprints, conduct relevant research, and contribute to achieving studio and project goals.
- Generate design concepts through to final design, utilizing 3D printing opportunities and conceptualizing solutions through sketching and visualization.
- Attend meetings and presentations, delivering clear and effective presentations – visual, written, and spoken.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and strategists, ensuring coordination and the highest quality of the product.
- Take on the role of Sustainability Champion for the Branded Environments team.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and engineers to integrate product design into overall project designs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers globally.
- Stay updated on current technology and integrate it into product design.
- Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and 3D visualizations for accurate costing.
- Travel within the UK and globally for project delivery as required.
- Liaise with contractors, ensuring high-quality work and value for money.
- Maintain quality of design throughout all project phases, considering end-user engagement.
- Deliver work according to agreed timescales, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Be flexible in design, open to feedback, and maintain complete attention to detail.
- Ensure all records and files related to design work are maintained.
What we are looking for
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in design for the built environment across various project scales and sectors.
- Highly creative with the ability to ideate, conceptualize, and visualize product forms, materiality, and functionality.
- Highly organized with a strong track record of project management and client liaison.
- Team-oriented and personable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to sketch ideas, details, and ideate to communicate design thinking.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, plan own workload, and meet tight deadlines.
About You
You are:
- Design obsessive, aware of best practices in the industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Software knowledge: Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, SketchUp, Rhino 3D Modelling, Vectorworks, Figma.
- Ability to utilize 3D printing software and hardware to support product realization.
