ROLE: MOTION DESIGNER

Reporting to the Executive/Creative Directors

WHERE:

WHAT:

Motion designer with a solid background in design, branding or advertising is required for a rapidly growing team where big agency experience is complimented with freedom and creativity. Possesses the skills and experience necessary to lead and shape our motion design capability, influence our creative culture and impact our ultimate client delivery.

Mandatories: A knowledge of all the software required for the role: Adobe suite, After Effects, Cinema4D, Premiere. Specific preference for candidates with skills and experience across 2D and 3D motion.

WHO:

A finger-on-the-pulse creative talent who understands brand thinking, can translate brand behaviours and expression into strong moving creative narratives. Has the ability to influence brand identity and knows how motion works across multiple digital and social channels.

Has a keen eye for detail and a natural graphic flare, knows how to tell compelling stories through best-in-class motion design. Ideas and solutions focused, with boundless energy and creativity. To lead creative work as part of a team or individually, has a strong teamwork ethic, and the ability to own and manage complexity and deadlines across multiple clients.

A desire to learn new skills, lead and teach others along the way.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is integral to the creative team. The motion designer will have a true passion for design with a strategic understanding and a proven track record of producing creative solutions that meet and exceed the expectations of the brief. Reporting into the Creative Director, they are a self-motivated team player who is keen to take an active role, with a can-do attitude, and the drive to go that extra mile.

Supporting the agency in delivering world-class creative and building lasting client relationships, they will be deployed across all client work, contributing to our creative excellence and StormBrands culture.

IT’S NOT JUST THAT THOUGH:

The motion designers’ role is to push our creative product – offer working solutions, alternative ideas and fresh thinking with the studio to explore new ways of realising brands in today’s climate (e.g, social, digital, UX, UI, experiential). As part of the project process you’ll be asked to input at the initial ideas stage, influence the creative development and ultimate brand expression and create compelling case study content along the way.

YOU WILL:

• Consistently deliver strong creative that is line with agreed strategic direction and meets the brief given.

• Push our creative product and have a restless ambition to realise the work across channels and touchpoints.

YOU HAVE:

• A thorough understanding of all relevant design software applications and know which approach to take dependant on the output and outcome of the project.

• A proven track record and experience in working across multiple sectors STORMBRANDS are involved in, namely FMCG, Retail and Corporate Branding.

• The ability to think on your feet and have a positive attitude. Always looking for ways to make things better and find solutions, not problems.

• A commercial grasp of time-management – able to manage your own time effectively and take on ownership of deadlines with the team.

• The attributes of a people-person; bolstering the culture of the studio with drive, passion, ambition, commitment and accountability.

• Annual salary: £35-55k depending on experience
