Job Description

*Only applications with attached samples/portfolios will be considered*

Motion touches almost everything we do at Creative Studio. We are looking for a confident animation specialist with solid experience who is comfortable creating and animating objects and characters, bringing our brand stories to life.

You will be working within our in-house Creative Studio, as part of the video production team. You’ll focus on motion and animation of illustrations, kinetic type, icons, and 3D shapes. You will also lead the creation of self-contained stories or assets required by our design team, with room to explore how the Mastercard brand comes to life in motion.

What you’ll do

  • Make things move
  • Shepherd projects from concept to completion in partnership with people across the business to help bring our brand stories to life through motion and sound
  • Collaborate with video team members, mixing footage and motion to bring intangible technology and ideas to life through abstractions and metaphors
  • Work effectively with others to identify challenges and opportunities and use creative and strategic thinking to generate solutions
  • Manage creative requirements, expectations, and deadlines for your projects

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in animation or motion design preferred
  • Passion for your craft and a few years of senior professional experience
  • Collaborative, willing to put your hand up and able to both give and receive constructive feedback
  • Thirst for growth—you want to develop yourself, learn new skills and hone your core ones
  • You move fast both in your day and in your life—you’re a well-organised individual who can juggle multiple projects with a “get stuff done” mindset
  • You’re curious and enthusiastic about experimenting creatively and confident in putting your ideas forward
  • You’re well-versed in animation and design principles
  • You’re comfortable using Adobe CC, with After Effects being an extension of your hand, and confidently command Cinema 4D or equivalent
  • Capable of developing assets and artwork for animation
  • Good understanding of modelling, texturing, rigging and lighting
  • Solid graphic design skills and the ability to read and interpret brand guidelines are a huge bonus
