About us: We are a small brand consultancy https://www.whistlejacketlondon.com/ looking for a new junior designer to work with us. Minimum contract term will be three months but could be a permanent position.
We are a tight-knit, chatty bunch who like to argue about strategy, branding and design, and we’ll expect you to be a fully engaged member of the team with insight and opinions to share. You’ll work with the Creative Director on a broad range of projects across all kinds of brand touchpoints – advertising, web design, collateral, brand identity, video, presentations, brand guidelines etc. You’ll also be conducting audits and creating mood boards, so an interest in and ability to think conceptually would be useful.
Unlike a bigger agency, you won’t be sitting in the creative department around lots of other designers. You’ll be working closely with the experienced account management team, supervised by the creative director who usually works from home (even before COVID). You will need to be very self-directed in your work, with a fierce eye for detail and the motivation to self-monitor your work. A high degree of accuracy is very important to this role, as well as a willingness to get stuck in.
