About the role

We are excited to be growing our team further and seeking a talented freelance Junior Copywriter to join our fast growing startup Email Marketing Agency in East London (remote 15-20 hours a week)

We work with a wide number of amazing ecommerce brands, who are redefining their industries. Some of the brands include; sustainable fashion, olympic level sports nutrition and healthy, high protein cereal.

We’re looking for a freelance junior copywriter with a passion for language, meticulous detail and experience with buyer psychology/ecommerce brands. In this role, you will need to be able to adapt to a wide range of brand voices and guidelines every day as you’ll be responsible for providing email copy for a number of brands at once, heading up copywriting for our small and close-knit team. You'll be responsible for drafting, writing and proofing across brand tone of voice, campaign messaging and storytelling.

What you need *essential

  • Experience in a creative agency is desirable / 2 years relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience writing for ecommerce brands
  • A high level of accuracy and obsessive attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working to, and building on, tone of voice guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive, proactive, can-do attitude
  • Passionate, hardworking, open-minded, and enthusiastic individual, looking to grow with the agency

You’ll be expected to…

  • Deliver high quality, on brand email copy for regular email campaigns and automated messaging (email & SMS)
  • Lead on copywriting across a range of brands, communicating with the account manager and email designer effectively to build the best possible campaigns
  • Use buyer psychology to guide readers through the email and persuade people to buy
  • Proof, correct and edit meticulously across all deliverables
  • Tap into and adapt quickly to different brand voices and deliver messaging that is engaging and on-brief
  • Support the designer in building brand verbal identities and articulating brand strategies
  • Be great at organising and prioritising your workload
  • Be an excellent communicator, articulating your ideas with clarity and confidence

Rate negotiable depending on experience.
