About us

We are on a mission to transform the art world. As the leading art platform, we empower thousands of galleries, artists and collectors to run and grow their businesses with a suite of inventory, marketing, CRM and website tools. As a mission-driven company, we know it takes a great team to build the future, and we are committed to providing the best structure, resources and quick thinking to help achieve our collective goal. Exciting times lie ahead as we expand into new regions, build new products and create the next generation of technology to transform the art world—join us!

About the role

We are looking for an established Product Designer to join our growing team, designing essential digital products for the world’s leading artists, art galleries and art institutions. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the software that powers the art world.

The ideal candidate will possess a healthy blend of UI and UX sensibilities and be comfortable leaning on their skills and experience to make sense of complex problems. We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of product design experience, who can demonstrate a solid end-to-end process, with real-world examples.

With a high degree of ownership and scope, you will advocate for best-in-class experience design and drive constant evolution in our products through feature releases and improvements. You will also be an important voice in the bigger picture - helping to establish UI/UX best practice, collaborating on the creation of a new Design System and influencing the strategic direction of our products.

Day to day, you will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to bring your ideas to life. You will be the voice of the user and champion the design process from concept to creation and beyond. Your process will be underpinned by established UX principles and insight-driven decision making.

About you

  • 3 years of experience in UI/UX, product design or similar
  • A balanced UI and UX mindset. You look at design as more than just aesthetics and understand the need for products to work as well as they look
  • You put the human at the heart of what you do and design with substance and rationale, drawing on analytics, research, insights, testing and real-world experience to inform your decision-making
  • You love solving problems and are always looking for ways to improve the products you work with
  • A solid product design process, with proven experience translating ideas into real-world solutions
  • Experience with user research, analytics and user testing platforms is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express your ideas with substance and logic
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage entire projects from start to finish

Key responsibilities

  • Your role is to help scope, plan, brief and create beautiful and performant design solutions for our core products. Working within cross-functional teams, you will work to achieve design sign-off on high-quality, elegant designs through the process of ideation, consultation and design revision.
  • Delivering incremental improvement to the experience and performance of our core products
  • Collaborating within cross-functional delivery teams to take solutions from idea to execution
  • Advocating for the user through a deep understanding of their needs and how they use our tools
  • Contributing to the planning of new features through insight on user journeys, relevant UI and UX research or approaches, consideration of the product suite as a whole and low-fidelity mock-ups
  • Helping to create a new design system and toolkit for our product suite
  • Providing high-fidelity designs for new feature development
  • Seeing beyond the launch and ensuring QA by assessing the success of design implementation and working with the product team to resolve any issues
  • Influencing our future product design philosophy, helping to establish UI/UX best practices and recommending approaches to analytics, user testing and research

What we offer

  • 35 days of annual leave (including bank holidays) plus long service entitlement.
  • Flexible working, work from home option (min 2 days in-office per week)
  • Company pension scheme
  • A focus on continued professional development including access to courses and training programmes
  • Cycle to Work scheme & season ticket loans
  • Beautiful London offices in a warehouse conversion with showers and secure bike storage
  • Regular team and whole company social events
  • London Office Space
  • The role is based out of our London office. Our office is in a converted warehouse complex shared with a handful of other friendly creative organisations and a top-notch canteen. The beautiful courtyard area is perfect for post-work socialising and the odd bit of al-fresco working – weather permitting! We are a collaborative and relaxed bunch who enjoy each other’s company both at work and in the pub.
