The Role
We are looking for a London-based Freelance Senior Strategist with deep experience in the property sector to collaborate with our team across place branding, property development and cultural institution briefs.
This role is ideal for a confident strategic thinker who understands the language of property and place. You will work closely with the London leadership team and creative teams to shape brand positioning, place visions and strategic frameworks for major residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, as well as cultural institutions.
You must be an excellent communicator, a confident presenter and able to navigate complex stakeholder environments while collaborating closely with designers, client services and client teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Thinking
• Develop brand strategies, positioning frameworks and place visions for commercial, mixed-use property, residential developments and cultural institutions
• Identify key insights through research, stakeholder engagement and market analysis, with an understanding of property market dynamics and audience motivations
• Translate complex ideas into clear strategic narratives and frameworks
• Craft compelling brand ideas, brand platforms and strategic storytelling
Client Engagement
• Lead and participate in client workshops and stakeholder interviews
• Present strategic thinking clearly and confidently to senior clients
• Build strong relationships with clients and project partners
• Help guide clients through complex strategic decisions
Narrative & Communication
• Develop compelling narratives for brands, places and organisations
• Write clear strategic documents, brand positioning and vision statements
• Collaborate with creative teams to ensure strategy informs design outcomes
Collaboration
• Work closely with the Frost* design and client services teams
• Provide strong strategic briefs to guide creative teams
• Ensure the strategic intent remains clear throughout the design process
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who brings:
• Proven experience in place strategy, property branding or design strategy, ideally across a range of development typologies
• Substantial experience working with property developers across commercial, mixed-use and residential sectors, with a strong understanding of how place branding supports sales, leasing and long-term asset value
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills
• Exceptional writing ability
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement experience
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects workloads
• A strategic mindset that can move fluidly between big-picture thinking and practical delivery
