Job Purpose

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Resource and Operations Manager to join our team to manage resource and utilisation requirements, find and build relationships with talent and ensure operational excellence at Anyways.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, with the ability to juggle multiple work streams at one time, and prioritise effectively. A keen networker, with 5+ years experience working within the creative industry, and a good understanding of agency teams and disciplines. We’re looking for a collaborative self starter, someone who is highly organised and methodical, with a keen interest in operations and logistics, and an eye for detail.

Tasks

  • Responsible for managing resource and utilisation requirements across the business, you will assign teams to projects based on their skills and experience
  • Plan future resource requirements and mitigate resource concerns based on high level business planning, spotting challenges before they arise
  • Be up to date with everyone’s schedule to ensure the day to day runs smoothly, and respond to changing needs on daily basis
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with all team members, freelance talent and collaborators
  • Support Business Leads in finding operational solutions for the agency to create amazing creative work, analyse current ways of working and implement new systems and processes to solve operational inefficiencies
  • Own regular reporting and analyse processes, profit margins, project efficiency and team utilisation, reporting monthly to Business Leads
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic environment where priorities can change and new business challenges arise
  • Work closely with Business Leads on initiatives and focuses (e.g Sustainability), and ensure we’re meeting yearly targets
  • Pre-empting talent needs, you understand the ebbs and flows of project work, pencilling talent before a need arises
  • Negotiating rates, contracting and onboarding freelance talent
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain a database of freelance and full time talent for the business

You

  • Process-driven, extremely organised and methodical with a high attention to detail orally, in writing and with numbers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences
  • Comfortable working under pressure at busy times, ability to keep calm under pressure with a positive can do attitude
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Positive and proactive problem solver, providing solutions and welcoming new challenges
  • An excellent understanding of agency roles and responsibilities
  • Resilient and constructive when faced with challenges, able to shift approaches when needed in response to unexpected events and circumstances

  • Flexible in your approach, with good decision-making skills
  • Culturally astute and aware of the industry around you, with a good knowledge of different creative disciplines.

Details

  • Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 pa
  • Reporting into: Project Director
  • Level: Senior
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (flexible hours between 8am – 7pm)
  • Location: Two days a week in our London office & three days a week flexible/remote
