Design Intern Opportunity at Skylark

Skylark is an independent creative agency based in Shoreditch. We craft stunning websites and apps, with a portfolio that includes iconic names like Arsenal, as well as many prestigious clients within the Finance, Sports and Entertainment industries. Our team of Project Managers, Designers, and Developers operate across the UK, Portugal, and Bangladesh, creating a diverse and collaborative environment.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Design Intern to join our friendly and supportive team! This role is perfect for entry-level candidates with a strong interest in web design, UX/UI and branding. No previous agency experience is required, but a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and adaptability are essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of clients across different industries, each with unique goals and challenges. As a vital member of the design team, you’ll collaborate on exciting projects and learn to manage tight deadlines.

What You’ll Learn

Over the 6-month internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience and insights into agency life, including:

• Designing websites with user experience (UX) at the forefront.
• Collaborating with a creative team, from brainstorming ideas to maintaining live projects.
• Gaining proficiency in WordPress and understanding best practices for website testing.
• Building strong client relationships and learning how to maintain them effectively.
• Developing organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development of creative design concepts for client projects.
• Supporting the design team with tasks like image sourcing, icon creation, and general design duties.
• Maintaining and updating websites for retainer clients.
• Conducting bug testing and browser compatibility checks.
• Collaborating with developers to ensure smooth communication during the website build process.
• Providing general support to the team, including occasional office tasks.

Requirements

• A strong interest in web design, UX/UI, and branding is essential.
• A passion for design with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma is beneficial.
• A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to attend the London office when required.
