About the role:
As a Content Creator at Mother, your role is to bring expertise in social-first content and fluency in digital culture to the creation and production of our ideas.
In this end to end creative role, you’ll be a maker as well as a thinker – generating content ideas that cut through the social noise before bringing them to life yourself, or in close collaboration with our in-house studio.
The contract & start date:
This is an initial 6 month initial contract, however with a view of it going perm. We need someone to join us by mid-to-end of October at the latest (but the sooner the better!).
We’re looking for a social native – on top of the current trends, creators and production styles across Instagram, TikTok and Snap; with an understanding of the nuances that make content resonate with each community.
You’ll be an ideas machine, adept at turning insights into high quality concepts fit for the feed.
You’ll have hands-on experience as a content maker, from shooting your own TikToks to collaborating with production teams – and have an inherent understanding of the level of finesse required for an idea to land on platform.

Your key responsibilities:
Translating insights, learnings and brand objectives into attention-grabbing social creative ideas.
Provide art direction for the visual elements of video content, taking responsibility for the style and look and feel, including creating treatments and moodboards.
Collaborating with production teams to shoot and edit short form video content, including self-shooting and editing lo-fi content where relevant.
Recommending talent to collaborate with where appropriate, and working closely with Content Strategists to generate partnership content briefs.
The key skills required for the role:
- 2+ years experience in social content creation
- Deep understanding of how to create content that generates social engagement
- Plugged into digital culture and the ever-changing trend landscape
- Deep social platform knowledge, including available formats and when to deploy them
- Hands-on experience in content creation
- Experience collaborating with talent
- Flexible and adaptable, able to react quickly to changing requirements and new challenges
