STUDIOCANAL, a 100% affiliate of CANAL+ Group held by Vivendi, is Europe’s leader in production, distribution and international sales of feature films and series, operating in all nine major European markets - France, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Spain, Denmark and Benelux - as well as in Australia and New Zealand. It finances and produces around 30 films per year, distributes around 80 films per year. It owns the largest library in Europe and one of the most prestigious libraries in the world, boasting more than 8 000 titles from 60 countries, spanning 100 years of film history. 20 million euros has been invested into the restoration of 750 classic films over the past 5 years. In addition, STUDIOCANAL also produces almost 20 series each year and operates at an international level by globally distributing its scripted productions and CANAL+ Originals (2,000 hours of current and library content in distribution). Role Overview:
Working alongside three other designers to help deliver high-quality marketing campaigns across print and online, this predominantly front-end design role will give you a great opportunity to apply your creativity to work that is fast-paced and constantly changing. The work will allow the right candidate to push themselves as a designer, as well as having the chance to have their work seen by a huge audience daily.
We are looking for a Junior Designer who is passionate about delivering high quality work, has excellent design skills and a good understanding of branding principles to join an ambitious in-house team working across Film and TV series.
Please note you are required to submit a portfolio of graphic and digital design work as part of the application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating engaging content for film campaigns and internal marketing materials which include Print and Digital
- Using Adobe Creative Cloud programs to produce eye-catching design for a wide variety of platforms
- Repurposing existing artwork to multiple formats
- Collaborating with marketing teams to develop creative, from initial concepts through to final production
- Creating impactful ideas for clients and pitches and visually presenting these ideas to teams
- Supporting the wider Design team with administrative tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree in Graphic/Digital Design or similar
- Excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
- Artwork skills for Print and understanding the printing process
- Understanding of the creation of digital banners
- Excellent attention to detail
- A keen interest in film and popular culture and an understanding of the role marketing and advertising plays in the design-process.
- General understanding of Motion Graphics
- Experience with e-mailers and digital invitations
- Any knowledge and skills in the following are desirable although not essential: After Effects, Retouching, Cinema 4D, HTML & CSS basics
