About the role:

Our team of five Runners are the backbone of the agency. From carrying out pitch research and sourcing props for shoots, to prepping for client meetings, event planning and managing the day-to-day running of our office space, they are always on hand to get stuck into any task, big or small, and know all there is to know about Mother.

As a Runner, your time here will be broken into two parts – the first part being 15-months as, well, a Runner. During this time you’ll gain exposure to client briefs and creative processes as well as taking part in more formalised training sessions, which will ultimately provide a balanced view of the agency and each department, whilst developing a foundation of key skills.

Que part deux – a 6-month placement of your choice within Mother. This could be in Strategy, Account Management, Production, Creative, Mother Studios, or any of our business support teams.

The scheme is perfect for anyone who is curious about building a career within the creative industries but has little to no work experience as it offers the opportunity to build a foundation of vital knowledge and experience, whilst also gaining a deeper understanding of advertising.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Daily building checks

• Sourcing props

• Email inbox management

• Fulfilling all Partner requests

• Ensuring meeting rooms and break out spaces look and feel presentable

• Pitch research and requests

• Client meeting set-ups (catering and refreshments)

• Courier bookings

• Daily ad-hoc purchases e.g. buying gifts

• Office facilities support

• Providing support at all Mother events (including some outside of standard hours)

What it takes to be a great Runner:

• The ability to communicate clearly and build good relationships

• Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks and handle a busy schedule (with our support)

• Ability to use a PC and/or Mac and the Microsoft and Google suite

• Ability to accept constructive feedback and use it as an opportunity for growth

Hours:

You will be required to work 5 days in the office, every week. The earliest shift will start at 8am and the latest you will finish is 7pm (bar some events).

Contract:

You will be be a Runner for 15-months on a rolling fixed term contract, followed by a 6-month fixed term placement of your choice at Mother.
