Job Description

We are looking for someone to join RA’s growing product team who is passionate about electronic music and wants to get involved in creating and improving RA’s products for the electronic music community.

RA is able to offer hybrid working, allowing all employees to work both remotely and in the office, encouraging all staff to work from the office at least 2 days per week. We have offices in London, Manchester, Madrid, Berlin and New York and you are welcome to work from any of these. We are also offering this as a fully remote position. If you are applying for the fully remote position, we require you to work in GMT-2 to GMT+2 time zones.

RA welcomes applicants from all abilities, backgrounds, ethnicities, experiences, expressions, and orientations. We aim for the staffing at RA to be a reflection of the communities we cover, amplify and participate within. We actively promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace, this is reflected in our internal operations and the treatment of our staff.

What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be working on improving the UX on RA’s existing products, and designing the UX for new products. This will be across B2B or B2C and on mobile and web.

To do this, you’ll be producing low-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes and mockups. You’ll then work with stakeholders, users and developers to iterate on these designs, taking feedback and adapting as appropriate. You’ll be handing off wireframes and templates which will be combined with our design system to produce a design to be built.

You’ll be working closely with the product team and stakeholders to understand the requirements of each piece of work. You might also be running A/B tests or using other sources of data to inform your designs.

You’ll primarily be using Figma but you can use any other tools that you think are appropriate to help you do your job.

We’re looking for…

We're not looking for a specific list of skills, we believe that a capacity to learn and to pick up new skills is more important than years of experience.

We do however require that you understand interface design patterns and component-based design. You’ll also need to have professional experience building wireframes, prototypes and testing them with users, in an agile environment is also expected.

You’ll be representing the voice of the user at all times and you’ll need good communication skills in explaining how you arrived at a design and why it is important.

Experience working with design systems or platform guidelines (e.g. Apple Human Interface Guidelines) and some experience in visual design would be beneficial but are not required.

Interview process…

If we like your application, we will do an initial call with you to make sure your expectations match up with ours for the role and ask for some examples of your previous design work. If you’re successful we will then invite you for two or three face-to-face or video interviews to talk through your experience. This will be the final round and, if you’re successful we will get back to you with an offer.
