Job Description
The Studio
Adam Ellis Studio is a London based fine art and design practice experienced in creating unique and vibrant interiors for hospitality and private spaces both in the UK and overseas. Working closely with our clients we provide fine art, bespoke wallpapers, site specific installations and graphic identities across a wide range of projects both large and small. Our clients include The Ivy Collection, Rocco Forte, Harrods, Marriott International, and Fever Tree, among others.
The Opportunity
As the studio continues to develop and enters an exciting phase of growth, we’re looking for an established Creative Project Manager to join our small creative team in West London.
Responsible for coordinating creative projects from brief to delivery, managing workflows, timelines, budgets, production and deliverables, the candidate will be organised, proactive, and confident with managing multiple projects with skill and insight. This person will be central to the creative team alongside Senior Managers, Designers, Illustrators, Archivists and Curators, as well as point of contact for clients and external production houses. The role involves working across a range of creative disciplines, handling complex project scopes, and ensuring a smooth workflow from beginning to end.
Day to day responsibilities involve:
- Defining project scope and establishing deliverables
- Briefing and delegating deliverables to the wider design team
- Developing client facing design proposals
- Budgetary planning and preparation of quotations
- Resource allocation; supporting and coordinating with the team
- Carrying out site surveys to capture as-built measurements in person, identifying any points of concern, then ‘drawing up’ the scheme coherently for future use
- Identifying issues early and problem solving to maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, freelancers and keep on top of project logistics
- Manage feedback and approvals with clients. Keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Representing the studio on site for final project installation; ensuring all artworks fit accurately, supervising teams of technicians, and coordinating with site contractors and clients to ensure a successful install.
- Maintain a calm and professional approach with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
The position combines a degree of autonomy and ownership, necessitating regular liaising with commercial clients and suppliers, maintaining responsibility for project development, and communicating progress in weekly senior team 'catch ups'.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience as a Creative Project Manager or equivalent position in an art related environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess the confidence to liaise with clients and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities and timelines.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
- Collaborative with the wider Design team and supporting creative individuals
- Computer literate; with a thorough understanding of planning logistics, spreadsheets, scheduling and ideally an understanding of architectural schemes. Some experience using ‘Monday' would be ideal.
- Adobe proficient / working knowledge of the creative suites, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Understanding and awareness of the sector, its aesthetic and culture
Why Join Us?
- Excellent opportunity to grow and shape within a small, evolving Studio.
- Studio Culture – a mixed team of designers, artists and archivists working on exciting projects in a collaborative environment
- Friday afternoon drinks
- Training in the Adobe Creative Suite
- 28 days annual leave
