Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced sewing teacher to join our team, teaching garment-making classes at various levels. This is a freelance position with flexible hours across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Essential Requirements
Teaching experience in sewing/garment making
Pattern cutting knowledge and experience
Ability to teach consistently across beginner to advanced levels
Availability for shadowing/training period (detailed below)

One-day garment workshops

Training Process
To ensure consistency across our teaching team, all new teachers complete our structured training programme:
Stage 1: Shadow Classes (unpaid)
Shadow each class type you'll be teaching
Observe teaching methods, class structure, and our approach
Learn our systems and procedures
Stage 2: Teach with Supervision (paid)
Teach classes with a current teacher observing
Receive feedback and guidance
Demonstrate competency with our teaching standards
Stage 3: Teach Independently
Begin teaching solo once you're confident and we're satisfied with your progress
Ongoing support available from the teaching team
Note: The shadowing process is essential for maintaining consistency - different teachers must deliver the same high-quality experience across identical classes.
