Since its foundation in 2007 It’s Nice That has become a trusted source of creative inspiration online, in print and through our events. Winner of a Webby Award for best cultural website, It’s Nice That is a leading platform in the creative world reaching over 2 million people each month.

As well as covering inspirational work and projects, we harness our creative expertise to help brands communicate their messages and products to our creative audience. This takes the shape of display advertising, sponsored content, and bigger brand partnerships. We work with brands of all scales, from local start-ups through to some of the worlds biggest brands such as Apple, Spotify, Ace & Tate, Nike and Adobe.

Job Purpose

At It’s Nice That we are looking for an ambitious middleweight creative to join our team. This person will lead the creative on a range of projects at It's Nice That – covering everything from idea generation to art direction and design – with a focus on commercial work such as brand partnerships, events and advertising campaigns.

You

  • Culturally astute and have a good awareness of the creative industry
  • Enjoy working across ideas, art direction and design and can bring other skills to the table too
  • Love collaborating with other creative, production and editorial teams
  • Have experience of working with clients from pitching to delivery of projects
  • Understand and have a passion for storytelling and digital publishing
  • Have experience working as a creative at an agency, publisher or media group
  • Bring energy, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to work each day
  • Currently in a middleweight-level creative role or an experienced junior ready to step up into a role with more responsibility
  • Have an eye for detail and quality
  • Have a good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Have previous experience delivering design and art-direction projects for either commercial clients, editorial projects or both

Key Skills

  • You have an understanding of It’s Nice That, the business and what It's Nice That's creative team does
  • You can establish, maintain and develop relationships with both emerging and established names within the creative industry
  • You can lead conversations with creative talent, propose and work with creatives to commission across a variety of projects and disciplines
  • You can lead the delivery of projects for It’s Nice That, from research and idea generation to building decks, presenting and executing creative work
  • You have experience of presenting creative work to clients
  • Graphic Design (typography, layout, artworking, image-making; animation skills a plus)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), Keynote, Google Docs

Tasks

  • Lead the creative work on a range of projects, covering research, idea generation, pitching, presenting, commissioning and art direction
  • Manage and maintain the aesthetic of It’s Nice That through art direction and design
  • Oversee other creative members of the team on projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a global network of creative talent
  • Execute visual identities for brand projects and collaborations
  • Commission a wide range of creatives for commercial projects
  • Deliver projects for It’s Nice That across our events and commercial partnerships

Details

Salary: £27,750 - £34,000 DOE

Level: Middleweight

Reporting into: Senior Creative

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (flexible hours between 8am – 7pm)

Location: Hybrid Working with two days in our London studio
