Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our wonderful Marketing - Design Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and the Global Majority are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single specification. If you’re excited about the role but your experience or qualifications don’t perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups such as the global majority, LGBTQA+, those with a disability and neurodiverse conditions.

The role:

We are looking for a Senior Designer to work closely with the Head of Design in managing the design team (Mid-Weight Graphic Designer and Junior Graphic Designer), creating and delivering outstanding design that positions the Globe’s brand effectively and engages with audiences. They will work to translate concepts into a range of collateral in both digital and print formats across all aspects of audience and internal touch points, delivering high standards and accessibility in all outputs. Reporting to the Head of Design, the Senior Designer will work closely with the Campaigns, Social Media, Digital Content and Digital & Data teams.

The skills:

  • Highly conceptual, with the ability to create new brands and ideas, and apply them consistently across a wide range of print and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach with the ability to take initiative, anticipate project needs, and drive work forward independently.
  • Demonstrable experience of influencing other teams to help shape their creative ideas to fit their design ambitions within brand.
  • Strong creative and technical skills demonstrated through a portfolio of digital and print work, including confidence in setting up accurate, print-ready artwork.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software packages: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects. Confident in Figma and Adobe Animate.
  • Confident in collaborating with Directors to develop compelling show artwork concepts. Experienced in art directing photoshoots, working closely with photographers, managing shoot logistics, and leading creative teams on set.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to understand needs and work well with others.
  • Sound experience leading and inspiring team members, including workflow management and delegating duties.
  • Proven negotiation skills in managing deadlines and workloads with other departments.
  • Someone currently in a Senior Designer position, either in house or at an agency, but looking for a new opportunity and space to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment.
