Job Description

The Creative Agency for People Willing to Question Everything

Producing creative work that's rooted in brand and built for a digital world, we believe that challenging, debating and questioning just about everything is the best way to find the ideas that can change how people think, feel and behave.

And we are blessed to work with people who care deeply about the work they do, embrace every challenge and are determined to show us a new way of looking at things. So if that sounds like your kind of agency, you sound like our kind of person.

The Role

We are on the search for our next Strategist. A creative individual with an analytical mindset, curious disposition and collaborative ethos. Able to make the confusingly complex, brilliantly simple and with a strong belief in the power of great design.

You'll identify the most potent insights from a wealth of information. You'll find clear spaces in crowded markets, carving out compelling points of difference in worlds of same-same. You'll inspire clients to take new, bold and purposeful directions before energising our creative team to take it further.

Working closely with every department, you will be shaping and reshaping brands across an array of sectors and nuanced challenges. From hospitality to consumer goods. Accommodation to home technology. Restaurants and gyms. Pizza ovens and air purifiers.

You will also provide key support in driving Forty Eight Point One's growth, building out key proposals and contributing to pitches when required.

THOUGHT-PROVOKING STRATEGIES: Thinking creatively, culturally and commercially, you'll produce strategies that push those around you to think more deeply about the brief in hand.

A CONFIDENT GRASP OF DIGITAL: A brand strategist at heart, you will also have a close affinity to the world of digital, able to analyse data and create more rounded strategic work as a result.

A LOVE FOR WRITING: A curious and widely read individual, you will understand the power of words. You'll know that great messaging can be the difference between losing an audience and inspiring real change — inspiring both the content of your work as well as your presentation of it.

STAYING CONNECTED: You will know that your strategies are evolving pieces of work. So you will insist on staying tightly connected to any given project right up to (and sometimes beyond) go-live.

WORK THAT WORKS: Working closely with our design team, you'll create easily actionable and highly effective brand activations that bring your strategies to life in the real world.

UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE: With a natural ability to work with a range of personalities, roles and characters, your presence and collaborative approach develops strong, trusted relationships with our clients, partners and team.

The Must-Haves

  • 3+ years experience in a strategic role within an agency
  • Happy to work from our Shoreditch studio when required

A New Voice

We are looking for characters with a fresh perspective and a different opinion. Somebody who challenges rather than conforms. A culture-add over a culture-fit.

That means we are actively seeking qualified individuals and groups who are under-represented, whether in relation to gender, religion, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.
