Job Description
Prior + Partners are looking to grow their in-house graphic design team. You will be joining a close-knit team of creative minds with a collective vision for producing meaningful work.
The studio

Our 100-strong team also bring expertise in engagement, spatial data analytics, graphic design and visualisation tools, allowing us to successfully and clearly communicate ambitious masterplans and plans for change, and aid decision-making throughout the design stages.
We are recognised for leading some of the UK and the globe’s most complex regeneration projects, from city-wide transformation plans focused on investment, delivery and growth, to site level masterplans and development strategies. Our recent work in the UK includes supporting local authorities and their partners in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Southampton and Cambridge, and internationally we are working on exciting, innovative projects including in the Middle East, Bhutan and for Google in California.
The opportunity
As a senior creative within the team, you will be involved in a multitude of diverse projects. You will have the flexibility to make use of different creative mediums for both digital and print deliverables, bringing fresh conceptual and strategic thinking to every brief.
A key part of the role will be to develop visual identities for the practice’s projects which stand the test of time, as well as guiding and supporting the project teams with visual content throughout the different stages of their projects.
As a team, we are passionate people who lead by example, and are looking to expand the team with individuals who share this outlook. We value applicants who are able to combine aesthetics, typography and practicality. We welcome applicants who demonstrate an aptitude in complementary areas, such as motion graphics, video editing or creative programming, who believe their skills can be put to use within the practice.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creativity, conceptual and analytical thinking to the team. You will support the Graphic Design Lead whilst working alongside urban design and masterplanning project teams, supporting them with the production of templates, presentations and reports, illustrations, video clips, animations, info graphics and more;
—You will be confident in producing project identities across different scales, whilst coherently communicating your ideas to the wider team and patiently taking clients on a journey towards a strong and exemplary design finish;
—You will be a team player. You will be willing to share your knowledge with your colleagues and wider practice and get involved with all elements of the design and artworking process;
—You will have great skills in most Adobe software such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (After Effects and/or Premier Pro is a plus) and a willingness to work in the Microsoft suite on the rare occasions that it’s required.
—You are a strategic thinker with an interest in exploring innovative design solutions. You love problem solving and whether you’re working on mapping or infographics, you enjoy developing cohesive styles and systems.
Qualifications & experience
We are looking for a candidate who has at least five years of work experience as a graphic designer. Experience in architecture and/or the built environment is preferred, but not a must. A Degree in Graphic Design, Architecture or equivalent is required.
