Job Description

OVERVIEW:

As Chapel’s Junior Content Writer & Strategist, you will be working collaboratively to concept, plan, craft and edit written content. You will ideally have at least 12 months’ professional writing experience and an eye for emerging trends in content creation, tech and business. You must be able to tailor your writing for a variety of audiences (including B2B) across print, digital and social media platforms, maintaining an eye for detail and a high level of creativity at all times.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the lead writer and project management team to develop written content (article, website, keynote, campaign & social copy and SEO descriptions)
  • Conduct relevant research to inform content production
  • Edit existing copy to improve readability and suitability
  • Proofread copy for errors and inconsistencies
  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and voice
  • Match creation and delivery with brand values/objectives
  • Ensure delivery is always on time and to a high standard
  • Support and contribute to Chapel’s creative progression
  • Collaborate closely with clients

EDITORIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop conceptual ideas into editorial flatplans
  • Liaise with the writing and project management team, from commissioning to delivery stage
  • Craft and edit print/digital content
  • Make sure copy adheres to word counts and fits into design templates
  • Collaborate extensively with the design team
  • Lead interviews, transcribe audio and craft into compelling content
  • Create content plans around audience profiles and behaviours
  • Handle naming and headline ideation, through to creation
  • Provide and/or present rationales for concepts, when necessary
  • Action multiple rounds of client edits
