Job Description

We’re looking for a fantastic mid/senior graphic designer to join our incredible creative team in London. This role is for a fixed period of 1 year.

Role

As an adaptable member of the team, your role as mid-weight designer with be to both lead and support on projects, executing work on time and to the highest standards. Day-to-day, your work in the studio will be varied, ranging from leading individual deliverables to providing design support on larger projects.

You should be varied in your creative approach, constantly exploring ideas and striving to seek the best possible outcome, whilst also being able to identify when to develop and push projects forward. Able to articulate verbally and in written form, you will be required to take direction and create client-facing presentations to explain your work. You may occasionally asked to present these externally.

You should be thorough, methodical and measured — from project brief to production. As an experienced member of the team, you should be able to work independently or as part of a group, seeking assistance from the design directors and creative director when needed.

Finally, you be a positive member of the team and maintain an active interest in design and communication, realising its potential to contribute to your professional development

Expectations

You report to the creative director and design directors.

Your responsibilities include ensuring that the timescale and schedules of a project are met effectively from a design perspective, always delivered on time.

You should contribute to a project as a whole, conduct research and provide support during the initial phases through to delivery. You may be required to take ownership of a larger brand or components within a project e.g. a website, brochure, app etc.

To ensure our storytelling is coherent, you should be able to plan a narrative and structure presentations accordingly.

Communication is vital. You should feel confident to talk about your design decisions within the wider internal team and articulate the rationale behind those decisions. You will be required to take part in presentations with clients about the specific components you are working on.

Should be comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback is vital to the team's improvement, you should never frame feedback in a purely negative manner. Be willing to receive feedback on creative issues and implement and confident to suggest changes or possible solutions.

As part of your creative thinking, you should suggest creative solutions to a brief and then work in tandem with more senior members of the team to develop them further. Analysis of a creative problem and propose a wide variety of possible solutions quickly.

You should pay excellent attention to detail across projects

Engagement is essential, and you should be able to think about the bigger picture, the finer design details and realize when these should be prioritized in the project process.

Should be skilled in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, After Effects and Figma. Experience with 3D animation (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a bonus.
