About the role

We’re looking for a copywriter with a passion for language and a talent for helping brands find their voice. This role will establish you as our lead writer across all projects, including both client work and our own communications. You'll be working on projects spanning a wide range of disciplines, being exposed to writing challenges across brand tone of voice, campaign messaging and digital storytelling.

This is an integral role in our tight-knit, busy team, reporting directly to the creative director. You'll also be involved in the day-to-day operation of the business, with the potential to build your own team and make a real impact as we grow.

You'll be expected to...

  • lead writing projects from briefing to delivery
  • think strategically, questioning briefs and reframing challenges
  • tap into different brand voices and deliver messaging that is engaging and on-brief
  • interpret and articulate brand strategy into usable propositions and benefits
  • build authentic and ownable verbal identities
  • think beyond headlines, building frameworks that cater for every brand touchpoint
  • use a brand TOV to write longer-form copy for website and social content
  • support in writing Poppins case studies and marketing/social copy
  • be great at organising and prioritising yours and others’ workload
  • effectively collaborate with clients and team members
  • be an excellent communicator, articulating your ideas with clarity and confidence

Main requirements

  • 3+ years experience
  • Hands-on experience writing for brands across a range of clients
  • A high level of accuracy and obsessive attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working with, and building on, our strategic and creative frameworks
  • Understand the creative expectations of a design business
  • A positive, proactive, can-do attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • A proactive appetite for learning new skills
