Job Description

Who we are

Magnum Photos is a global organisation representing some of the world’s most renowned photographers. What makes Magnum unique is the diversity of expression within its ranks, from war photographers to satirists and conceptual artists, and almost everything in between. What unifies them is their strong individual authorship and shared vision to chronicle world events, people, places through imagery and narratives - that have redefined history and transformed lives. This includes not shying away from telling the difficult stories.

The organisation is run as a collective structure with a membership that has evolved over the years to encompass the work of almost 100 diverse photographers and estates. We have offices in New York, London and Paris, and work with press, publishers, advertising, television, galleries and museums across the world.

Magnum also has a vibrant digital platform which we use to connect with our global audience of over 5 million people by showcasing photographers’ work, offering education initiatives, and hosting special commercial events.

About the role

We are looking for a Creative Project Manager to support the delivery of a suite of creative and technical projects across the Digital Projects & E-Commerce (DIPEC) team.

In this role, you will lead small to mid-scale projects across different verticals and support the Senior Creative Project Manager in large scale projects. This will include owning project timelines, resourcing, and reporting for projects such as product launches and campaigns, and supporting the Senior Creative Project Manager in the tracking and delivery of the Square Print Sale and other large scale DIPEC and creative projects.

This role would not only own project management and delivery but also dip into various functions to take on discrete responsibilities across design, product and operations as needed to move projects and delivery forward.

This role will sit within the Digital Projects & E-Commerce team. ○ Work cross-functionally to understand all relevant inputs from across the organisation, integrate feedback, communicate and set expectations, and deliver on agreed-to outputs

● Manage from project scoping through planning and delivery to reporting, acting as team quarterback and liaison throughout

○ Create and manage briefs in collaboration with internal stakeholders

○ Collaborate with external agencies and strategic partners to move big ideas from project initiation to delivery, with clear project plans and milestones

○ Actively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and on-time delivery of projects and assets

○ Support on delivery as needed

● Work closely with the Senior Creative Project Management to define learning process, own post mortems and create and manage project plans for optimizations such as budgeting and ways of working

● Proactively predict and remove any roadblocks that may delay a project timeline or create additional, unnecessary cost

● Support on the delivery of the larger scale projects working with the Senior Creative Project Manager, and executing discrete tasks when necessary, including but not limited to the Square Print Sale
