Who we are

We’re on a mission to make investing better for everyone in Europe. More specifically, we’re making it lightyears better (sorry… we had to!). We’re combining multi-currency accounts with unlimited access to global markets so that everyone in Europe can invest freely without sneaky hidden fees or unnecessary barriers.

In less than a year, we went from just an idea to a regulated business that raised $10M, hired a team of 20 people from some of the best fintechs around and launched the app in the UK market.

We’ve got a stellar group of investors behind us including Mosaic Ventures, Taavet Hinrikus, Jaan Tallinn, Sten Tamkivi, Eileen Burbidge as well as a host of angel investors. In 2021, we raised $10M and were covered in TechCrunch, Sifted, Mail Online & the FT.

What you’ll do

  • Own the design direction and output for social media posts, landing pages, display ads, infographics, blog articles, email templates, and company swag!
  • Serve as an expert within the company on motion design, enabling Lightyear content to come to life across the web and social media.
  • Storyboard and prototype multiple ideas quickly, and validate creative direction by analysing how potential customers engage with your work.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through completion.
  • Help evolve the Lightyear brand, adding to our Brand Book — using it as a guide to create beautiful, yet impactful work, support brand consistency across all marketing-related channels.

Ideal skills & experience

  • 3+ years in Graphic, Brand, Visual or Marketing Design. Preference for experience in high-growth consumer technology.
  • Conceptual thinker that’s able to engage with the strategic aspect of the work and not just the visuals.
  • Solid experience producing engaging creative for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter and others.
  • Strong experience in creating beautiful and usable landing pages.
  • The ability to understand and follow a design system, as well as challenge and contribute to it when needed.
  • Outstanding prioritisation skills.
  • Lethal with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (including After Effects). Experience with 3D e.g. Cinema 4D and CSS/HTML/Javascript is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English. You’ll be chatting to our customers, partners and of course the rest of the team on a daily basis.
  • An understanding of the investment world is great, but it’s not required. A willingness to learn about it is a must, though!
