The Senior content producer will primarily work directly with the Secretary of State, as well as Ministers and Special Advisors, capturing high profile engagements across the country and in our studio through high quality video and photography. They will play a pivotal role in helping the team to identify opportunities, plan and create content that will connect to our audiences. The successful candidate will be able to confidently shoot and edit content, and be comfortable directing, giving advice and best practice in the moment.

This is an incredibly exciting time for the Department for Education as it plays a central role in delivering the work of the UK Government.

Our team plays a crucial role in connecting the work of the DfE with the public and the professional sectors it serves through multimedia story telling formats, published across our proprietary digital and social channels.

The successful candidate will:

Lead on videography for the Education Secretary‘s social media channels, from developing briefs through to evaluating performance

Attend regular external visits with the Education Secretary and Private Office teams to capture high-quality and engaging social media content

Use expertise and social media best practice to create more innovative, engaging formats to help communicate key departmental policy announcements and messaging

Help to develop a regular drumbeat of video-based social media content for the Education Secretary based on data and audience insight

Be a creative, digital native, proactive problem solver, communicator, and team player

The role may also involve capturing case study content and spotting organic opportunities

Have proven experience in creating audience-focused, channel-specific audio/visual digital content, with the ability to tell compelling stories

The role will include travel across England to early years, schools, colleges, universities and employers. This will also require flexibility and some evening and weekend work.
