ABOUT US

Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box. We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people at the Millennium Dome.

We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing. As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team.

We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride. Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office.

There’s excellent F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme. The building has its own events and conference space and we’re about to introduce our own premium range of candles, diffusers, soaps, and other body care products. We believe this is the office of the future, members love it and it has been a big success.

We plan to take this a stage further with the opening of our second site at Westfield White City in early 2025. Members will access the office via an urban garden before ascending an escalator to a bar and deli with a five-metre floor to ceiling height. In addition to a private gym for members, the workspace will include wellness studios, a bakery, rooftop bar and restaurant, juice bar and champagne and doughnut bar, all public facing. There will be an events and conference facility and multiple other products and amenities not typically associated with a workspace.

THE ROLE

Reporting into the group’s Marketing Director, you will demonstrate exceptional levels of detail and organisation. This position demands creative flair, on-trend industry knowledge and an on-point approach to time management.

You will develop strong relationships across various departments that collaborate towards our internal marketing strategy.

You will be the go-to person for everything marketing-related at The Ministry. Venue sales, Events, Fitness, F&B, and Ops will all work closely with your fantastic team as you initiate and guide campaigns that captivate new and existing clients alike.

You will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing these innovative and engaging marketing campaigns across multiple channels, leveraging owned, earned, and paid media. Managing key agency relationships will be essential as you oversee digital campaigns, ensuring our SEO, Google AdWords, and paid ads are nothing short of remarkable.

You will have true aspiration for our brands, be excited for what is on the horizon and use your prowess in PR, partnerships, and influencer marketing to shape our CRM strategy, increase member retention, manage budgets, and shape member events.

You will analyse campaign performances, report on key marketing metrics, and transform data into actionable insights that guide our decisions.

You will take the lead on all our channels, collaborating with our Social Media Exec and team of creatives to deliver outstanding content that resonates.

Our Designers, Content Creators and influencers are key players in our strategy. You will develop a masterful plan to engage them, writing compelling briefs and overseeing shoots that capture thier imagination everytime.

Our members are who we are, and you will be responsible for ensuring their experience is extraordinary. From member communications and all touchpoints, you will ensure seamless interactions that deepen their connection with The Ministry.

You will work with our General Manager, Community Experience Manager, and charity partner, Jai Dog Rescue to amplify our impact in the community. Your sharp eye for detail and data-driven mindset will ensure our marketing efforts are always on point.
