Job Description
We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer with a passion for visual culture, typography, and storytelling; someone eager to break into the games industry and bring fresh, outside influences into a saturated visual landscape.
You’ll join our Creative team, supporting our internal studios and brand partners. From designing Steam assets to contributing to editorial layouts, websites, and key presentations for major gaming events, you’ll play a hands-on role in how Kepler and our partner studios are seen by players and the wider creative community.
As part of the Creative team, you’ll also be responsible for designing output that reaches outside of games into cultural spaces like art, music and fashion. Creating new initiatives in this space and owning them from initial conception to final public release will be key to success in this role.
This role is initially a 6 month fixed-term contract, with the possibility to extend.
What you’ll do
- Design visual assets across multiple formats, including digital store pages (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox), websites, social media, and print.
- Contribute to the design and layout of our in-house magazine, event materials, and visual brand assets.
- Support the creation and adaptation of key art, including resizing, retouching, and optimisation for various marketing needs.
- Collaborate on brand and campaign concepts alongside the creative and marketing teams, as well as our development partners.
- Develop presentations and pitch decks for internal and external events, including industry events and showcases.
- Contribute to defining and evolving Kepler’s visual identity, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all touchpoints.
- Keep connected to design trends from outside the games space, particularly from music, typography, and fashion, that can influence Kepler’s creative direction.
- Take ownership of small creative initiatives, from ideation to delivery, with support from senior team members.
What you’ll bring:
- A portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design fundamentals: layout, composition, typography, and visual storytelling.
- A background in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. You don’t need to know it all, but you do need to be eager to learn.
- Confidence in using Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects) and similar tools like Figma.
- Familiarity with digital formats and asset preparation for web, social, and storefronts.
- A strong eye for typography, with awareness of broader cultural trends.
- Excellent communication skills; you can articulate creative ideas clearly, give and receive feedback constructively, and navigate differing opinions while keeping projects moving forward.
- Comfortable collaborating in a high-performing, fast-paced environment where ideas are challenged and standards are high.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, balance feedback, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Experience in 3D, Motion Graphics or Front-end Dev is a plus.
