Role Overview:

Working alongside two other designers to help deliver high-quality marketing campaigns across print and online, this predominantly front-end design role will give you a great opportunity to apply your creativity to work that is fast-paced and constantly changing. The work will allow the right candidate to push themselves as a designer, as well as having the chance to have their work seen by a huge audience on a daily basis.

We are looking for a Digital Designer who is passionate about delivering high quality work, has excellent motion graphic skills and a good understanding of back-end development issues to join an ambitious in-house team working across Film and TV series.

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for creating engaging content for websites (site takeovers, interactive banners), social channels (video assets, GIFs, etc) and other promotional material for our extensive line-up of Theatrical and Home Entertainment releases.
  • Using Adobe Creative Cloud programs to produce eye-catching design for a wide variety of platforms, and repurposing existing artwork to multiple formats.
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to develop creative, from initial concepts through to final production.
  • Working under pressure with strict deadlines across several projects as well as managing your own workload.

Essential Experience:

  • An excellent portfolio of graphic and digital design showing a good understanding of web typography and responsive design.
  • Great experience using Adobe After Effects.
  • Producing digital content using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, incorporating video, sound and interactive elements.
  • Knowledge of React would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Video compression and knowledge of native video codecs for web.
  • Image compression and how to work within small filesizes, for example with HTML5 online ads.
  • Email/newsletter construction and working with email databases (Mailchimp).

Essential Skills:

  • Skilled user of Adobe programs - excellent knowledge of Photoshop with good working knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign, video editing skills using After Effects and Premiere (3D knowledge a bonus).
  • Creating impactful ideas, visually presenting these ideas to teams.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen interest in film and popular culture and an understanding of the role marketing and advertising plays in the design-process.

Preferable Knowledge, Education, Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in the film/music/entertainment industry.
  • A degree in Graphic/Motion/Digital Design or similar.
  • Experience using PHP or other server-side languages beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience with using ad servers (Sizmek, DCM), understanding of email client quirks and work arounds.
  • A good eye for execution, quality and finer details.
  • Experience in producing and preparing work for print.
  • A willingness, and desire, to learn and improve your skillset.
  • Create impactful ideas for clients and pitches.
