A bit about the role…
We are a London-based design agency currently looking for a talented Design Lead to join our multi-disciplined team. This role is for a highly creative, conceptually strong designer who thrives on leading big ideas from start to finish. While this role doesn't involve managing people, it’s a leadership position in terms of creative thinking, visual execution, and owning projects across brand, digital, packaging, and campaign work.
You’ll be responsible for shaping creative output on key client projects, working closely with the New Business, Strategy, Creative and Account Management teams. You’ll be expected to push ideas, challenge briefs, and elevate the standard of everything we put out into the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic / Creative Thinking
- Own the design process and shape compelling, insightful decks with clarity.
- Balance bold, unconventional ideas with commercial realities.
- Think sideways, challenge convention, and confidently pitch brave concepts.
- Structure and explain ideas clearly, using strong references to support your thinking.
- Always design with the audience in mind.
Presenting, Selling Work & Managing Feedback
- Present work with confidence, clarity, and engaging storytelling.
- Build decks that guide clients through ideas in a clear, compelling way.
- Communicate ideas with conviction and prepare thoroughly for meetings.
- Approach feedback as a problem-solver, finding solutions with optimism.
Design Skill + Craft
- Develop and deliver design concepts with consistency and polish.
- Maintain a sharp eye for detail and craft in every design decision.
Organisation + Project Management
- Lead creative direction on complex or multi-track projects.
- Act as the link between new business, strategy, design, and delivery.
- Stay proactive in project organisation, ensuring your voice and vision are heard.
Key Skills:
- Great experience and confidence working across print and digital
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using Sketch or Figma
- Experience using After Effects or Premier a bonus (not essential!)
- Good knowledge of UX principles
- Highly creative with a good eye for detail
- A passion for design and craft
- Strong knowledge of typography
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Initiative – able to work well independently, as well as within a team
- Collaboration – working with multiple teams and partners
- Ability to balance projects and timelines
