SCREENSHOT Media is hiring a Junior Social Video Editor who will work directly under our Head of Social Video & Channel Growth, alongside our Video and Snapchat team in the editing of mid-form content across a number of our Snapchat shows.

Being a Junior Social Video Editor at SCREENSHOT Media means delivering best in class video content across our shows and constantly looking for entertaining and trending content!

In your role as Junior Social Video Editor you’ll be working hand in hand with the Snapchat team to edit, schedule and publish engaging viral episodes across our shows!

Your tasks and responsibilities 😃

  • Edit, schedule and publish 2-3 videos a week across multiple Snapchat shows
  • Ensure daily and weekly workload is delivered on time and in line with our publishing schedule
  • Support the video team in ideating and creating new episode concepts
  • Source content from a variety of sources, in line with Fair Use guidelines
  • Ensure videos meet editorial, ethical and legal standards and are in line with SCREENSHOT Media’s brand and tone of voice
  • Devise fresh and exciting videos to help capture a wider audience across our shows
  • Write episode scripts that are relevant, engaging, and utilise our brand tone of voice
  • Work with the video team to analyse data and implement new strategies in order to improve episode performance
  • Provide performance updates in our weekly and monthly targets meetings, with a focus on views and watch time
  • Keep up to date on the latest celebrity and pop culture news and gossip
  • Identify any issues and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Potential to assist in the recording of voiceovers

Role skills and requirements ✅

  • 6-12 months of personal experience editing video, or interning as a video editor in a media publisher, creative agency, or production company
  • Excellent abilities across Adobe Creative Suite, with particular avid skills in Adobe Premiere
  • Passionate about entertainment, social media trends, and the celebrity world, already paying attention to breaking stories across news and entertainment
  • Strong knowledge of computer software that is related to video editing and graphic design
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • You have a basic understanding of how Snapchat Discover works
  • You have a quick-thinking ability and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • You are able to collaborate within a team and are an effective communicator
  • You are able to ideate and produce original scripts for our shows
  • You always take initiative when necessary and enjoy working with quick turnaround timelines
  • You are detail-oriented and love working with task management programmes
  • Experience in producing voiceovers is desirable, but not essential

What we offer ✨

  • This position is £24,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Candidates must be London based
  • A hybrid WFH and office culture. We have a beautiful office in Shoreditch and ask our team to come in a minimum of twice a week. We totally get it that after Covid, no one wants to be in the office 5 days a week, but at the same time know that we’re best when we’re bouncing off of each other and brainstorming together.
  • Our working hours are from 9am to 6pm.
