Production Manager

We are Fire Without Smoke. We love games - so we built an agency specifically to create the best game content possible. We’re experienced marketers, creatives and first and foremost, avid gamers.

We are looking for a full-time Production Manager who is quick-thinking, methodical and as passionate as we are. This role is a multi-faceted, dual role. Not only will you be managing your own projects, you’ll also be coordinating our team to oversee production operations, documentation and budgets. You will have proven skills in both production and project management. You’re somebody who knows the ‘senior producer’ role inside and out, and is ready to take that step up in production leadership and management. We are a small team, and work in a fast paced environment.

This role is firmly rooted in the gaming sphere, so a vested interest surrounding this world is a big plus! Post production and agency side experience is a must-have for this role. This is not a suitable role for those with just live action experience, but for those comfortable and knowledgeable in the integrated comms, digital content and social/XR space.

Day to day, you’ll be:

• Managing and coordinating production projects, status and workflow
• Inspiring the team to produce high-quality content across video, digital/social, design and print
• Rallying the production team to deliver client projects in the best way possible
• Taking responsibility of production projects to deliver on time and budget
• Mentoring and guiding other members of the production team where needed
• Assigning allocated resources to projects based on workload and capabilities
• Responsible for the effective use of Production Management software across teams
• Supporting the Client Service Director on commercial activities
• Ongoing responsibility of keeping track of project margins and resource utilisation
• Building strong and trusting relationships with clients and internal team members
• Overseeing management of all contractors and freelancers necessary for project and commercial success

You’ll need:

• 5+ years working as a producer in a creative environment (pref 3+ in gaming or similar)
• Experience managing clients in a creative agency/studio
• Background in post production
• Exceptional project management and commercial acumen
• Extensive multi-market portfolio of produced work across all media channels
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Exceptional creative problem-solving skills
• High level technical production knowledge
